Whale Watching Adventure from Mirissa: Experience the Giants of the Deep

Embark on an unforgettable journey off the southern coast of Sri Lanka with our Whale Watching Adventure from Mirissa.
Mirissa, a tranquil fishing village located approximately 150 km south of Colombo, is renowned as one of the world’s premier whale-watching destinations.

From November to April, the calm seas and abundant marine life create ideal conditions for spotting some of the ocean’s most majestic creatures.
This area is famous for sightings of blue whales, sperm whales, pilot whales, and fin whales—among others that have been recorded in Sri Lanka’s south coast waters.
While sightings are highly probable, please note that encountering these magnificent animals is not guaranteed, as they are wild creatures in their natural habitat.
Additionally, there is sometimes a chance to spot a Vaz, a rare sighting in the area, but again, we cannot promise it.

Our tours typically depart early in the morning from Mirissa Harbor, with check-in around 6:00 AM. The journey lasts approximately 3 to 5 hours, offering a comfortable and exhilarating experience.
Onboard amenities often include breakfast, refreshments, and knowledgeable guides who will enrich your adventure with fascinating insights into marine life.

Join us for a day of awe-inspiring sights, and create lasting memories as you witness the wonders of the ocean’s giants. Book your tour today and experience one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters Sri Lanka has to offer!
