We are a Sri Lankan, family run, PADI 5-Star Diving Centre that first opened their doors in October 2014. Fantastic Diving School!
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Sun Diving diving school. I did my Open Water certification there. The communication beforehand was really good and quick, so I was able to complete the theory beforehand. We did a pool session and four dives on site. I felt really well looked after, especially because I was quite scared of diving due to a previous illness. Minosh and the whole team responded really well, were able to take away all my fears and I felt safe at all times. And that was despite the fact that the conditions for diving were unfortunately not really good. We had strong currents and hardly any visibility due to the storms. But we were looked after very well and so we were able to make the best of very challenging conditions and had a lot of fun on land too. If I had had more time and the conditions had been better, I would have done the Advanced certification straight away. Many thanks to the whole team!

Top Diving Center in Unawatuna
Top diving centre in Unawatuna! 🤿🐟🐠🪼 I completed the Padi OWC here and can highly recommend the centre. Communication for booking is super uncomplicated and quick via Whatsapp. The team is very friendly and personable. You always feel safe and are well instructed. Great Experience! Fantastic Team!
The team is great. Originally, I just signed up for the discovery class to see if I would like diving. The team was so knowledgeable and I felt completely safe in their hands so I decided to just go ahead and get my diving certificate. 4 dives and an online test later....I passed! Your safety is their main concern. My teacher, Minosh was amazing. I can't say enough great things about Sun Diving Sri Lanka.

i was so luck to do my rescue course in sun diving sri lanka, the best dive centre in Unawatona , excellent service, very friendly , very good training According to PADI standard, Meknow is a very nice and professional instructor , it was realy nice choice , recommended for all divers who want to complete courses to be divemasters.

Surprise of the sea!
Our diving experience with Sun Diving SriLanka was fantastic. We scheduled two sessions with them, including an introductory one for my partner. The instructors displayed remarkable patience, taking the time to alleviate any lingering fears she had. As we prepared on the boat for the dive, we were treated to an incredible sight: a whale shark passing by very closely. The dive itself was superb. The instructors remained vigilant, ensuring our safety, while also pointing out various sea life and other interesting sights. Unfortunately, during the dive, my partner lost her earring in the sea. However, the crew later located it, allowing us to retrieve it. We're truly grateful for such a wonderful experience. Many Thanks to Sun Diving SriLanka for providing such exceptional service.

Great Dive Centre, Amazing Staff!
Had a great experience at Sun Divers. My fiancée and I are fairly inexperienced open water divers with 15 dives each and felt so well looked after here. We did 2x Fun Dives in the morning and both were great. The gear and facilities are good and the staff are super friendly. My fiancée sometime gets nervous descending on the first dive after a while and Shan was so patient and calm helped her enjoy it all. The second dive was a breeze and the guys are so clued up. Would definitely recommend Sun divers if you’re wanted to get some diving in Unawatuna and the post-dive beer at the lovely attached bar just hits differently!

Amazing
Fantastic experience. Had never scuba dived before so was a bit nervous but the lovely people at Sun Diving put me totally at ease. They are very professional and oh so friendly. The dive was amazing and would totally recommend them to anyone interested in scuba diving. Special shout out to Shan, Jess and Minosh. Can't wait to return 😍

Disappointment
Some of the staff are welcoming, but others allow themselves to make comments on the appearance of customers, in their language, thinking that we do not understand them. Totally disrespectful and inappropriate. Concerning diving, the weather was poor. I asked if we were maintaining the exit and I was told that it was no problem. Except that the rain came and we could no longer see anything underwater. It wasn't a good time

I'm very grateful to these guys for excellent service, kindness, their attention and positive communication! Thanks to their professionalism Ii succeeded with my first diving! The instruction was very clear and detailed. The instructor supported me all the time as the result 1,5 hour under the water and it was absolutely safe and comfortable for me! We saw a sunken ship and the sunken statue! Incredible unforgettable experience!
